I posted this question earlier to the Asus group, but it may be more appropriate here.

I'm feeling a little out-of-the-loop as I'm starting to think about buildingying another system. I'm starting to fucus in on a specific board (Asus P5B-VM) but my question is more general: Do motherboards (or this motherboard) generally come with stock CPU cooling for Core 2 Duo? I'm assuming some sort of CPU cooling option is necessary.

Otherwise, would someone recommend a quiet (or silent!) option for cooling the CPU on a board like this? I'm not planning to do much in the way of overclocking.

Thanks in advance!

I believe core 2 duo comes with a nice stock that should work fine if you don't overclock.

I'm not much of a computer wiz though.

That helps a lot actually, thanks. I'm getting familiar with the different models (mobile, Conroe, and some other one). Did you quote the E6600 because it's middle-of-the-road price-wise? That looks like a good way to go.

Thanks again!
