Never seen this site before, found it from another board.

Look, discuss if you want, I don't care. Just sharing info here, probably take it with a large grain of salt.

Like somebody said before... that's old news.

It just made me realize that Intel will have to do much better than that if they really want to gain the high-end VPU market. GeF8800GTX is already approaching that 1TFlops, so I can't even imagine what they'llgine what they'll achieve within that 5-8 years period. And upcoming R600 might very well get that 1TFLOPS.

I also hope it won't take them 5 years to get a high-end VPU to the market. I'm saying this because they said that they were working on a multi-core high-end VPU.

Just "thinking aloud"

Pretty close. Next generation model of motherboard and a faster graphics card. My rig only beats it in hard drive space, but you probably have 15-20 more frames per second in any game you play.

Well dont forget your CPU is a coppermine and mine is a Tualatin.
Also, Im planning to give this PC to my mom and once I do that, I will put a 100GB Maxtor ATA133 7200rpm 8mb cache HDD into this so it can be a little faster :D

But hey, I really like to see people around using the same (or almost) system as mine. I still love the Pentium III's :)

The CPU that I got my computer with was a little bit more then half as fast as the one you have.

"200 mhz won't make a difference."

I dont blame you, gettin one of this tualatins were really hard in their times.

200mhz wont make a difference? mine has 1.4Ghz (1400mhz) which is a 467mhz and does a difference ;)
also counting that mine has 512 of cache and some improvements over copermine including .13 micron ;)

Nah, just saying, that's what someone told me when I said I was going from 733 to 933 megahertz. Get a bit of a laugh, too, when I get told that someone's more modern CPU is going to download better. Apparently 150 kilobytes is going to overstretch a 133 megabyte bus rate.

Some people just can't enjoy the simple things in life.

Nah, that doesn't... wait, yes it does.

Well, I commend you on your patience. I would be using that E6600 the first chance I got. Maybe I'll get lucky with an AT&T thingy and win a Dell XPS with an E6600. Though I did find it funny that it's called "Fully loaded" with an Radeon 1300 graphics card.
