I have a nvidia 7900 gt and I just upgraded to a LG 19 inch Flatron monitor. IF the, I believe it is a DVI cable and connect that from the GPU to the monitor, will there be much of a better picture or is the twenty bucks for the cable better off somewhere else?
well out of the video card is a DVI connector but I have an analog adapter that then analog adapts to the monitor. It's a matter of going digital i guess.
Sorry but I'm not asking about it working either way. Because I wouldn't be seeing this right now if it didn't work. I'm just curious about the video quality that you get from a DVI to DVI connection as compared to an adaption from DVI to Analog.
I guess it just begs the question of whether or not you are experiencing any noticable degredation in your picture quality. If you think that it looks bright and crystal clear, then it's probably ok. For the record, yes digital will look better and produce a better picture, that's why it's used, but it really is a matter of personal opinion. If you think it looks great and don't want to spend $20 on a new cable, leave it alone.
you wont be digital with a crt monitor, no buts to it, thats just a extra plug- in for a extra monitor. Now if you have a digital display you can have the option to use digital
