If I get a pentium D (805) with a 533MHz FSB, will ram faster than 533MHz work right? My motherboard can handle it I just don't know if my processor will run it.

Yes, it will run fine. In fact, Netburst(P4, PentiumD)CPU's work better with the extra bandwidth from running asynchronously(RAM faster than FSB). There comes a point where having to loosen memory timings too much(for the RAM to run at the speed) can negate the benefits of running RAM faster. GL :)
