Im in need of some help deciding on which memory to get for future overclocking and for a Vista upgrade whenever i decide to.. I have decided to get PC2 5400 because of the price gap between that and 6400, and it will also allow me to reach 3Ghz easily enough with a slight overclock on the ram. (FSB 350 x 9 = 3.15Ghz) I have narrowed it down to 2 choices:
These are just the 2 cheapest choices that i could find that are known to overclock decently. The people at Tom's seem to think rather highly of the A-Data stuff, and Corsair is obviously some of the best. Any input for these choices or any other ideas will be appreciated.
Check newegg for DDR2 800 they got prices from 190 to 220 (G.Skill). I would stick with DDR2 800 because you are overclocking. Yes i know you can oc with DDR2 675 too.
