ok so i bought a new computer and spent a fair amount on it (around $2500CND):

CPU - AMD - Athlon-64 X2 Dual Core 5200+ 2.6Ghz, AM2 32/64 Bit, L2 2MB (with stock cooling)
Memory - OCZ PC2-6400 Dual DDR2 Gold XTC 2x 1GIG Kit 800MHz 5-5-5-12
Motherboard - ASUS M2N-E Socket AM2 NF570 ULTRA AUDIO GBLAN PCIE SATA RAID
Video Card - BFG Tech 7950GT OC 512MB PCIe 2xDual-Link DVI HDTV
Power Supply - SeaSonic M12 SS-500HM ATX12V / EPS12V 500W


Anyway i have tried and tried again to overclock the prossecor but i can't get it past around 2.8Ghz no matter what i try. I tried lowering the multiplyer and uping the FSB... wont boot past 2.8. Tried keeping the multiplyer at 13 and uping the FSB... wont boot past 2.8. I have tried increasing the voltage dosent make a difference, tried lowering HT multiplyer dosent make a difference. I am almost at the point of giving up.
Any thoughts?

that maybe all you can muster.

does it work fine for you or do you just want to oc for fun?

I haven't tried overclocking AMD CPU for couple years. always have problem with them. I still prefer Intel chips.
