sorry this is a repeat posting.

I am trying to get the IE6 icon to be shown on the desktop. In my users GPO
I have disabled the 'hide internet explorer icon' but it still doesn't show
up.
The users also use a mandatory roaming profile and the icon is showing
(after customise desktop is set) in this mandatory profile that I copy to the
server and all the users use. They are highly restricted, with potentially
1000 users logging onto the same machine (school).

Why isn't it showing on the desktop?????? very annoying.
Folder redirection with a shortcut to IE6 is not an option
Please advise!!!

Hi,

Did you read my reply to your last post? This is an XP thing. It
doesn’t matter whether the GP is on or off it shows nothing on the
desktop. You need to do a registry hack to fix it permanently on all
machines. I posted it in the last reply to you but I don’t have it
off hand right now.

Cheers,

Lara
