does it matter that i have a ddr graphics card but ddr2 ram for my system?

Completely different things.

DDR 2(or double-data-rate 2) you have is RAM that is used for the processor to store short term memory

GDDR(as in Graphics double-data-rate) is used purely for the Graphics card to store textures.

I suggest you brush up on computers a little bit.
