from the speed he was going it's not possible to make such a small splash in that pool and the dept of the pool was also way too little. I can't say how, but the video was fixed.
Given that people have done high dives from 30ft into less than 3ft of water I'm actually thinking this guy is for real. Look at the hight of the pool compared to the edge of the ramp, very much like ski jumping the real drop was not that great.
It is apparantly a hoax (microsoft viral vid) although on first seeing it and posting it, and seeing how much crazy stuff people do and post on the web I did in fact think it was real, more fool me.
------------------------------I'm a git, deal with it.
Well all the adverts for MS project on the site would kind of explain that one
If you fancy a look at something equally mad but most certainly for real have a look at this dude:
I've been following the bike scene for years and I have to say this is one of the nicest vids I've seen in a long time, things don't really get moving until 1m20s, the first bit reminds the kids that try to do this that even the top guys need to practice. Keep your eyes open for the bit where he goes playing in the trees at ~3mins.
For those more into their petrol... CRANK THIS ONE UP AND MAKE IT FULL SCREEN!!
BTW - Anybody know where you can get a copy of the soundtrack, I think it's MosDef with DJ Shadow but I can't find a copy of it to use on a sequence video I've got planned..
his horizontal momentum was way too high for such a soft landing...it wasn't so much the height...however, i can see him landing on a lake ... would just be like a bad waterski crash ... the motor bike ones won't show at work here..
Anyway, it is impressive and the guy must hav vey strong arms and knees for that stuff as well as balls of steel, literally.
Second one I would rather see someone throw a stick in his spokes really, not sure why but it just looked like some idiot on a motor bike.
The second one was done with a full licence from the city authority, in terms of the skills it's not the best trials riding you will see. Personally I'd always go for the bike, far less likely to get grief and Boris says it's OK to ride it back from the pub after
