Yes I know, amazing how much posts you can accumulate through flaming and posting crap down here.

Tbh this was an off-shoot of all commotion about new titles and points systems.

Some people are a wee bit pissed off at newbies who have been here a few months being "more experienced" than people who have been here for years like our mrface here.

Only a regular with 21363 posts whilst someone with a couple of thousand is a veteran and probably has some fancy badges to go with it.

So I thought I could make light of it.

And we can't even get fredie to change the tags :-(

I've got four.

I got one for commenting in a news article.

You get a gold if you comment in news article for 9 consecutive months.

The fact I have been doing it for years doesn't count.

I know it is pretty silly but there is an injustice of how we old timers have been treated.

This is why so much fuss is being made in the forum related bit.

I will also say this. It is only due to toms having so few old timers compared to other sites that this can happen, some sites have tons of old timers and this would never happen.

Of course with such a transient membership or at least active membership they have to do something to retain them.

Badges? We don't need no stinking badges!
