There are several ways to do that for a ReplayTV, so I assume
some one has figured out how to hack into a Tivo as well.

Sorry, that doesn't apply to the DirecTV version of Tivo, only the stand
alone Tivos.

Activate what? Neither of my SD or HD Direct TV Tivo's have ethernet
ports.

Did you mean no working USB ports? The hardware is there on some boxes at
