C2D e6600
p5b deluxe
2gb corsair pc2-6400c4
tuniq tower 120
corsair 620w

ive seen others with similar setups and they can get at least 3.4ghz easily, 3.3 for me is a struggle

Your sig looks good to me.

When i had my p5b deluxe wifi the best i could do was 3.52 stable and thats with liquid cooling. Then i got my striker extreme the best i could oc was 3.3 because of the bios... within days 505 bios version came out and i was hitting 3.6 stable and 3.780 benchmark stable and not orthos stable. I could do 3.820 windows boot but not stable to do anything for long.

What temps are you hitting under load with coretemp or everest? Whats you highest oc?

Change PCi Epress Frequency to 100
Aslo disable Virtualization Technology, Spread Spectrum (i see that you have), Enhanced Intel Speedster Tech (EIST). This will desreace the strees to NB. Which you want to do. Also disable AI Tuning.

What is the rated memory voltage for your memory? I believe its 2.1V (you have that). Run some mem86 tests so we can test the ram stability. I boot my off a cd.
http://www.memtest86.com/

Your CPU frequency is 470 at 7 multiplier which gives you 3.290GHz. Change your multiplier to 9 and then up the Cpu Frequency.

yep voltage for my memory is 2.1v, cant go any higher without voiding the warranty

and theres no way i can change the multiplier to 9. with a 9 multiplier i cant even get the FSB to 400 without it crashing

What do you mean you cant change the multiplier of e6600. Second picture where it says Ratio CMOS Setting: [ 9].

Try to do this Cpu frequency at 378 at 9 multiplier gives you 3.4GHz. Use Orthos or run dual Prime95 to stress test the cpu. Watch the temps with either coretemp or everest. Put your Memory Ratio at Sync Mode.

Hi,

I am considering building a system quite similar to yours. Could you tell me what memory ratio you set for your Corsair memory on your Striker? Also, you set voltage to 2.1v?

Thanks,

My memory is set at 5 5 5 15 at 2.2V. It will also work without a problem at 2.1V. PM me if you need assistance with your build i will be more then happy to be of a assistance.

This is the memory that iam using with the striker extreme. Great reviews. I had the memory clocked at 1111MHz and it was stable. I have not pushed it beyond that. It has not given me any problems.

Try 9x405mhz. My MCH voltage is @1.4v, ICHIO is @ 1.6v, and CPU is at 1.43v. Of course, the mem divider should be @ 1:1(533). There's another fsb strap that you engage above 400. It stabilized my board right out when I went the extra 5 mhz.

how can you change the multiplier of an 6600 upwards?I thought you could only do that with the extreme versions only.

The stock e6600 multiplier is 9. You cant not change it higher then 9 only on x6800 and qx6700. You can lower it below 9 but not higer then 9.
