Hello,
If the intention is to use the Files and settings transfer wizard to create
a backup to cd, how do I predetermine the size of the eventual backup file?
A friend and I both used this function. He had 30gigs of used space and 7
gigs of files and settings which after transfer used up 180mgs. I had
7 gigs on hard drive used and 3 gigs of files and settings which after
transfer was 1.7gigs.
Why such a difference? Based on amounts of memory before transfer, assuming
compression ratios are the same since set by default, we were expecting a
much smaller resulting file after transfer in my case than his.
Any explanation and suggestions?
