I was wondering if anyone had any info regarding the new Samsung DLP
hlp series? Specifically, as far as I have read, the sets don't seem
to have a S-Video input. Is this true or do they not even bother to
list this because its so basic? If not, how do I plug my DTV/Tivo box
in? I'm just not willing to give up my Tivo for HDTV-Tivo boxes just
yet. I think $1000 is too much for an HDTV Tivo.

They are not out yet. I can't imagine they won't have an S-Video input.
Even if they didn't, you could just use a receiver and gain the benefit
of automatic audio and video switching. I run the S-Video through the
receiver and the picture looks great. The better receivers will
upconvert to component, so if you're DVI, HDMI, FireWire free, you'll
only need one connection between the receiver and the TV and you never
have to change the TV inputs.
