First off, I am a Tivo fanatic and love both my DirecTivos. I just recently
acquired an HD compatible display and want to get the best HD DSS/OTA
receiver out there. Prob not interested in the DirecTV HD programming for
the low bang/buck ratio. I have a problematic Sony HD100 that needs repair.
Sony flat rates the repair on the HD100 at $80. Was thinking of selling it
and buying a newer unit instead and was looking at the Sony HD300 and the
Samsung SIR-TS160

Any thoughts there? Should I just get the HD100 repaired and run with it
till the HD Tivos come down in price? My use of the HD100 was short lived
and I didnt really get a chance to use it and get a feel for its HD
performance before the storm hit.

Thanks in advance for your comments/advice

I have nothing but praise for the Sony HD SAT 300.
