Try Atitool. I also use Everest to get my gpu temps.

I think they took off temp monitor with their new CC.
BTW, if you have Control centre installed.
UNINSTALL it, its shit. just wasted disk space.
Ati tool has great flexibility, easy tool for OC as well.

GL

I have a PCI E version of X1950 pro and it idles at about 42 c and can reach 70 c during intense gaming.

You should see the temp in the overdrive tab.

you can also try riva tuner. Though it detects the new drivers as "6.12 or higher" :)

my temps for sapphire x1950 pro are 45-50 on idle and about 70 with alot of gaming. highest iv seen it go is 74. Fan speed has never gone over 70%, so its actually quite silent.

I am going to try Rivatuner as I used it with my Nivida card and liked it. The thing in tray tool is I cannot control the fan, it says that hardware is not supported. Plus there is no Overdrive tab in my CCC. I am using the 7.1 catalyst drivers. Should I use the drivers that came on the CD from Visiontek? I dont think I am running hot because I have been able to play BF2142 for 4 hours plus straight with no problems at all with settings all on high. SO far this card seems worth the upgrade from my old 128mb PNY 6800.

I seemed to have jumped the gun though I got the Visiontek 256mb version for $229 after the rebate. Now you can get the Sapphire 512mb verison from Newegg for the same price, and the Hightech 256mb version for $199 after the rebate. All this happended like days after I bought my card

I have one other question. I have this PSU

I think I am using the PCI Express connector on my Vid card, I thought it was just a 6 pin connector, but in reading the specs on the website it appears to be the PCI-E connector  Would that even work... I mean my card seems to be working fine. Should I use the Y cable with my 4 pin connectors off the HD instead. Sorry for the N00b questions.
