ahhh newb nightmatare.. "cpu over temp error"

i just finished putting everything together (bout 7 min ago)

whats goin on, i turned it on, everything seemed fine iw as lookin through the bios then the system shut off...

all my fans are on (antec 900)
heat sink is on

E6400 CORE2
STOCK HEATSINK
OCZ PSU 600W
GSKILL 2GIG RAM
SATA HD
ASUS P5B E LGA

what could be the problem????????

Usually there's a piece of clear plastic protecting the thermal paste on the heatsink while in the retail box.. did you forget to remove that before mounting the heatsink?
