Used mainly for online gaming. Budget of around $1600. Probably wont overclock. Thinking about a DX 10 card for Windows Vista. Just want a fast stable stock system for BF2. Any changes would be appreciated. Still have about $300 left. What to upgrade, is the question?? Sound card not a high priority unless money left over.

I agree with the other posters about the 8800. However, you'll need a bigger PSU for that (650W Min.). Also, you'll need a CPU cooler like the Tuniw Tower, Zalman, Scythe Infinity, etc.

If I'm not mistaken, Windows XP Home with upgrade to Vista will only get you Vista Basic when you upgrade. Perhaps you should consider jumping right in and get Vista Premium so you can take advantage of the extras that come with the Premium package.

Also, if you don't plan to overclock, that RAM is a bit overkill. DDR2-533 would suffice for stock speeds... just a suggestion to save you some $$$. However, if you want to delve into overclocking, that RAM will be great.

no he wont, he sed he isnt planing on overclocking so he is fine with the stock HSF, just make sure the case has good ventialtion

Whoops...for whatever reason I read it as "Probably will overclock. My bad...
