Gigabyte RamDisk with Vista Questions

Well I basicly have two questions:
First, what is the minimum to install and run a fully functional version of Windows Vista Ultimate?
Second, How reliable is the Gigabyte RamDisk? Provided I hardly ever turn my computer fully off, say fully rebooting daily, and otherwise leaving it in a maximum powersaving standby mode?

If the power goes off you will need to reinstall everything on your Gigabyte RamDisk. I don't think it is a good idea.

The RamDisk is suppose to have a 6-18 hour battery life ... so unless I have an extended power outage it shouldn't make a difference. Besides I have a 1kW UPS, and on standby that should another couple of hours.
