I have had my Ipaq for some time and decided to update the ROM as i had
started to notice some errors I was getting and the rom updates that HP had
for this device would fix it

I when through the HP website taking notes and the order of the updates I
had to do and here is the but I did not take the user details and password
off before applying SP25826.exe now my IPAQ starts but then hangs.

I know it is my fault.

I have tried a hard reset

can any one help me as I am lost without it

TIA

Try emailing HP and asking, but if the password could be easily cracked
there would be little point in having it.

already used the HP website to request assistance got a what appears to be a
automated responce that either they do not support this or that it has
already been answered and to check thier FAQ I have checked their FAQ and
ther is nothing on there,

some one out there must have done the same as me

unabel to get into anything on the ipaq therefore unable to get in to reset
the password or disable it

Are you sure you did a hard (full) reset? Remove the unit from the cradle.
Hold the Calendar button and iTask button down and push the reset button at
the bottom with your stylus. Hold the buttons for at least 4 seconds. After
the Ipaq turns off, push the power button to see if if turns on. If it does
you have not been sucessful in doing a hard reset. Then put the unit in the
cradle to reset the battery. You will have to Restore a previously made
Backup, or reinstall anything additional that you were running on your
Ipaq.
