Just got this cable box from my provider Warner. The user manual
states that the box contains a 80GB HD and is capable of storing HDTV
content. Does anyone have any experience with this Box? Or know how to
connect to it?

I have had a DCT6208 for a few weeks. Will record 8-10hours of HDTV or
80hours of SDTV. I have had good luck with the unit and like it's DVR
functions. I have never had TIVO before so I don't know what I am missing -
but I like the 6208.
I don't understand your question about connection to the box....

I have the 6208 and it is a great comcast hd box
with pvr abilities, I am also a tivo owner (series
one) and can say the features of the 6208 are very
limited vs tivo, BUT hey you can record HD now so
that alone does it for me (and not having to buy a
new tivo hd unit)...
Overall its a decent box, I had the 6200 before
the 6208, actually the 6200 box was faster
(channel searching and menu flipping) but the 6208
is decent and that pvr ability really makes it
nice...
Now we just need more CONTENT in my area 5
channels total, bummer cuz most are loops of hd
stuff on inhd 1 & 2,
Bill

I have the Second menu with no control options for the DVR. The 6208 remote
has VCR control buttons....but they do not work. I have a RCA HDTV which has
a firewire connection and I can connect to the 6208, but it's DVR buttons
don't seem to work either...When I push record while connected to the 6208
via 1364 the screen goes blank...but it does indicate that the REC is
on....perplexed.
