Wondering if some of the basement dwellers are thinking of installing Windows 7 after its official release next week.
What version would you choose?
Home Premium,
Professional,
Ultimate
I haven't decided because I'm happy with Vista Ultimate 64.
I've noticed there is a price disparity between Win7 Home Premium and Win7 Professional. The price difference between Win7 Professional and Win7 Ultimate seems negligible. Which has me question why they have so many different versions available.
Also I wonder why Office 2010 isn't released at the same time as Windows 7.
And I wonder if Vista users will be able to install Windows Media Player 12.
I'm not too interested. I'll have a look but for what I'm using now I see no need.
I doubt if you could install WMP12 in Vista - WMP11 is embedded (asininely enough) into Vista.
No, i did try out the RC but managed to screw it up and haven't yet reinstalled it.
I might pick it up but I might also wait till I rebuild although that might not be for a while. Visata is a good enough OS.
Media player is usually always non OS specific.
Is office 2010 coming soon? I was away to pick 2007 as I can get a great deal.
WMP is tightly embedded in Vista. I swapped xbox's two weeks ago and for some reason WMP did work to well with sharing.
Wanted to reinstall - no go. If you want WMP11 to be reinstalled in Vista you reinstall Vista.
Did some crude searching with Google...there is speculation WMP12 will be released as an upgrade to Vista WMP 11 after Win7 is released. But I didn't see a timeline for upgrade/update for WMP 11 to WMP 12.
I hate Windows - I am probably the only one here who uses loonix.
The hairy one is also a filthy linux user.
Interesting...I haven't thought about ubumtoo in a while.
My super hooter skills found a rare image of a ubumtoo.
The ubumtoo are a secret society of women who like to take it in the ass.

No linux on this box in the last 12 months. Just Vista64 business - legit retail. Anyone would think I'd had a GF for the last year or something...
Lies and you know it. I bet you have a small partiton just so you can get a fix of your dirty habit.
Nope. Nothing, the only thing I have is a couple of ISO images from former days. I've just not had the free time to play this last year. The job has been keeping me busy, add on the chimpet and I'm not really sure where the fock this last year has gone.
It's starting to get even greyer and damper than ever in the glorious Mcr so next month might be a 24" TV/Monitor, mid range GPU and maybe a little Linux fun, all depends on a few decisions I need to make about where I'm going next..
Did anybody actually bet on over a year for me in this job???
We're proud of you.
As they said if ain't broke don't fix it. and usually from my experience the 1st release has lots of problems. wait for 1 month and wait for some feedbacks before D-L'ing windows 7.
anyway if you'll ask me I'll go for the windows 7 ultimate. the vista ultimated edition worked for me pretty well and I guess that same reasoning goes for windows 7 also
What about cleaning both ditch pig's chuff, wingy's c0ck with the same water and then drinking it.
There is no way to compare unless you have been there.

Not even the Sanchez boys would sink that low....
I wouldn't put it past them.
Actually, ever see the beer colonic irrigation?
Unfortunately, yes. Along with the drinking sweat and panchos removed fat. That most of them have girlfriends should give hope to any man.
But they have money. I am guessing alot of it.
plus they have been on telly...A much wider audience of women.
Ugly man with a lot of money has many beautiful girlfriends. (Old Chinese Proverb)
Sounds a bit Irish to me.. [/Wingy]
Just finishing up Win 7 Ultimate x64 rtm oem install.
Nothing to comment on yet for performance. It has more eye candy than Vista.
Had to download and install latest version of Trend AntiVirus. Thankfully it was a no charge upgrade from v2009 to v2010.
Diskeeper 2008 is incompatable.
Hooters have the same visual quality on Win7. hmmm...can't wait for 3D hooter imaging.
Ever thought about actually returning and engaging in the original multi touch 3d world outside of your computer?
Several times per hour.

I have been running the W7 Ultimate 64bit for almost a year and i like it.
It is/was the beta now the RC version.
Just ordered the Home premie 64bit OEM version for my HTPC.
Should be here in a day or so, hope it is as good as the W7 ultimate RC.

Wow - you resort to your native language when I make a point that strikes home? You gotta love the way people make any statement one makes against them so undeniably true.

No point arguing. You did`t score anything. It is impossible to translate "Mars u pizdu materinu" to English.
At least I try to learn other language. Not just native.Serbian by the way.
You do know English is his second language, technically speaking I guess but non the less.

Of course I didn't score, I'm handing it out.
I find Microsoft's pricing a bit high.As a beta tester I would have hoped for something from MS,but no,only for the technical testers. So I will sit this one out.
I think it's a safe assumption the "others" don't have an issue with pricing.
[*** ing much.An upgrade to 7 should be $49.99 or less.I'll stay with XP on two machines and Vista on another.

Wingy certainly doesnt have any problems with pricing.
He has plenty of body parts to sell.
Or the scouse [/chuckles] can supply as well.
Tom is actually a loonix user...
Won't stop him procuring MS software.
He's a Scouser, call it as it is. He can THIEVE MS Software.
