Hi,
I have a known good working VPN setup involving a PPTP Linux server.
I can connect to the VPN server just fine under Windows XP.
But when I try the same operation, using the same username/password
on the same wireless network on an iPAQ hx2xxx, I can not connect and
Linux reports PTE/GRE errors.

The PPTP client in Windows Mobile 2003 can't connect to linux based pptp
servers. It has something to do with the client's inablility to select the
correct encryption for the connection.

I have seen people post of successful connections to PIX. As a matter of
fact at my old job we had a pix firewall and I was able to vpn from my
windows mobile device without any problems.
