O/c XFX 7900GT 470M any help?

Hello guys,

I just mounted today a VF-900-cu on my card, and the temperature improvements are impressive, with the stock cooler i got like 45c idleling and 65 @ fullload , and now with the Vf-900-cu got idle @ 36c and fullload 45c. So i was wandering how far can I aim to overclock, and what tools u guys are suggesting me to use and what test can i make to look if it is stable etc.

I had a XFX 7900GT. I was able to get mine stable @ 560/1600. I had a custom heatsink(it was HUGE!) and some Zalman copperheatsinks for the RAM.
You should hit in the 520's easy. Just be carefull to watch the temps.

You can also use rivatuner from here to overclock your card. You can use atitool to stress your video card to see if its stable from here.

I find that interesting. I have my 7900gs at 580 and 1441. So the GS can go higher on the clock but not the memory. :?

That's pretty cool.

Ive seen some 7900GT's hit 600. But i was only able to MAX out @ 570, and that was with a thermaltake water block, on its own cooling loop. Thats why its so difficult to "predict" overclocks......chips vary SO MUCH!!
