All,

I'm having problems with ActiveSync retaining the sync
options that I want
my Pocket PC to sync with my laptop. I'm connecting to my
laptop through a
Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter F8T001 and having no problems
making the
connection. Once the connection is established,
Activesync starts sync'ing;
however, it only Syncs the "Favorites". I then, in
ActiveSync, go to the
Options, Sync Options Tab and select "Calendar", "Tasks",
and "Contacts" and
select OK. ActiveSync then Syncs those items.

The problem I'm having is that when I disconnect between
the laptop and the
Pocket PC and later reconnect, the options that I want to
sync (i.e.,
"Calendar", "Tasks", and "Contacts" ) are not sync'd upon
establishment of
the connection. So, each time I disconnect and reconnect,
I have to go
through this same process of going to the Options, Sync
Options Tab and
selecting "Calendar", "Tasks", and "Contacts" and select
OK. ActiveSync
then Syncs those items.

How do I get ActiveSync to retain the Sync Options so that
when I disconnect
and reconnect it will sync all these things and not force
me to go through
reselection of the sync options to sync?????

It would be appreciated if someone could help here and
also email me a
solution at rsdean2002@comcast.net .

Thanks you your help

I shouldn't be answering you, cuz I'm a newbie too, but this group has
been such a help.. Anyway, I was having a similar problem. I solved
it by taking activesync off of my desktop, then re installing
activesync, being sure to check the options I really wanted during
setup. It worked for me.

** You should always answer stuff which you know the answer to through
personal experience !

Even stuff like "might be worth trying this it worked for me" is often
helpful to people who might be snow-blinded by their own particular
approach to a problem.

>but this group has been such a help..

And it gets that way through people like yourself giving time to help
others. Nice work and keep it up ;-)

Cheers - Neil
