Refresh rate..

I´m having trouble setting the refresh rate past 60Hz. I´ve tried bypassing the problem with Windows XP, but it might be that my monitor just won´t work on a higher setting?

I´m using a 259EN notebook, with a 15,4" WXGA screen at 1280x800 32-bit colors with a 256 mb GF6600, official nVidia driver 93.71..

Do you mean that if you set the refresh rate to 85 hz, it stays that way in while browsing the web, but goes back to 60 hz when you play a game?

If so, one solution would be:

On the bottom left of your screen in windows

click Start
click Run
type in dxdiag
go to the More Help tab
click on Override
select Override value, enter a value supported by your monitor
Click OK
Click Exit
