hey doodle,
ive got a very strange problem that i cant seem to get rid of.
see im running Vista Ultimate x64 RTM 6000 and after every boot up my ac97 onboard poo seems to not be able to start(at least the error is something like that)
that strange thing is that when i first installed Vista i had no such problem.
but wait it gets even stranger.. i can overcome this problem by simply going into the device manager and right clicking and disabling the ac97 and then right click and re-enable.. Creepy no?
My thoughts are most likely what you would think.. new drivers new OS... wait for new drivers..
But it worked for like 2 weeks before it started doing this!

i know the oc info might not really be useful.. i thought maybe that because of the oc the might affect it somehow. . maybe the increased Board Freq is interferring with it. maybe vista is more sensitive to oc adjustments. As possible as that might be. i just remembered that i had this system running on xp pro and on xp pro x64 with no issues..
infact i had a venice 3000+ @ 2.8 or so.. which required an even higher HT
..
anyway i probably already know what the issue is. bad init in the beta drivers for vista. or some such..
