Hello everyone!
I currently have a 4 receiver DTV system with a 4X4 multiswitch and a 3 LNB
antenna. All the receivers are non HDTV. After the next 60 days I will
have need to replace one of the receivers. I am considering buying a HDTV
DTV receiver. The challenge is the fact that DTV is in the process of
taking over all the DTV hardware distribution. Samsung has already
committed to providing 1.1 million DTV receivers to DTV. At CES, DTV did a
press release regarding the hardware issue and consolidating the number of
receiver licensees.
My question is, does anyone have any information on what DTV may be doing?
If they control the hardware distribution, hopefully they will also include
an OTA capability. My local home theatre rep (Pacific Sales) said that
Sony has all but eliminated the SAT HD 300, as they are unaware if they will
continue to have a license to manufacture them. Any thoughts?
