CPU Bottleneck

I just had a new system built mainly to play games with. My old system was:

AMD 1.8ghz
6800gt gpu
2 gb pc2700
60 gb WD 7200

With tweaks I could get 30-40 fps in the new game Vanguard on high performace settings.

My new set-up is
Intel Celleron 2.53ghz (c2d 6400 was bad and this chip is a place holder)
2 gb pc6400 OCZ
7600gt OC SLI
250 gb WD 7200

My frame rate on this system is awful, in the 5-10 range. Is it a bottleneck on the CPU and should the c2d fix some of the problem or is the problem somewhere else?

It's the processor. Calm down.

Yeah, that cpu is a royal POS. Your not going to see better frames then your old rig until you get something better (Like a C2D.)
