Hello,
I was wondering whether anyone out there was using an Enermax 550W +12@36A PSU with a GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 LGA 775 motherboard due to a review saying:

Cons: This PS has a compatiblity issue with Gigabyte DS3 motherboard. If you are gonna build a system with DS3 board, Don't buy this PS. Never works with it.

I personally don't see any way this combo could not be compatible...a power supply is a power supply, it has a 24-pin connector, the DS3 has a 24-pin connector. Just want to make sure, I think this guy was stupid. A lot like the guy who thought a particular power supply was great due to all of the air it blew inwards on his components... 8O

(If you go to reviews and scroll down on the PSU you can find the review I quoted)

Thank you. :)

To be safe, I would buy another PSU.

There are so many PSU's, why take a chance.

But as you said, just because there is a bad review, dosen't mean you will have a problem.

I would buy another PSU, but this one specifically is a single-rail, inexpensive, and powerful power supply (+12@36A), and I would prefer to go with something well known and workable than a brand X component. I emailed Enermax (GIGABYTE requires that you buy something of theirs before tech support), and they said that they can't think of any problem with the two of them. I dunno. I'll look into a reputable like-wise power supply.
