Hi All,

recently purchased:-

Netgear GSM 7352S
Netgear GSM 7328S

I have Stacked them using the stacking module and connected them to the network (due to failure of old switches).

I want to be able to set the Ip address so that i can manage the switches via the web console.

I have connected ok via hyper terminal and i have attempted to use the ezconfig.... when chnaging the IP and subnet from teh defaults to Ip address 10.0.44.21 and subnet 255.255.255.0 i receive the following error...

Subnet conflict between sepcified Ip address and current configuration.
All routing interfaces, service ports and network ports must be configured on different subnets.

Can anybody point me in the right direction please?
I have contacted Netgear and they are supposedly coming back to me!

kind regards

Those are layer 3 switches and have other default addresses configured on the interfaces. Your management IP (private network) address will be configured on interface VLAN 1. I haven't used a lot of Netgear switches but VLAN 1 is for management.

Also check out these links:
For 7352S: GSM 7352 Support page

For 7328S: GSM 7328S

See if you can find what other IP's are configured on the switch. I like the command line when it comes to configuration.
