Svchost issue

Running windows 7 64bit.

Task manager shows 11 different instances of svchost, with one taking up nearly 100megs of memory. Is this normal?

Totally normal. If you click on the "Services" tab, you'll see how many services are running, and most of those are sitting inside one of those "SvcHost" processes.
