PSU Gone bad?

Computer powers up and boots properly however, lately shutdown/power down, the power is off but the power light blinks. The computer will not power back up. I must turn main (back of computer) power switch on and then off for the computer to power up. What could be the issue?

usually when the power light blinks, it means the computer is in "hibernate" mode rather than being off. somehow, your computer has been set to hibernate rather than turn off. the settings for that are probably in windows control panel but it may also be a BIOS setting.
