How do you go about installing drivers on a computer build from scratch? It seems obvious, just put them on a floppy disc or CD from another computer and run them on the new computer, right? I've never actually built a computer before so how would you run the drivers off the CD in the first place?

I'm probably getting OEM hard drives, DVD player and floppy drive, so yeah.

Also, can standard DVD readers read CD discs?

Windws XP installs generic drivers ( 1 for all) when it finds new hardware. If you need other drivers, you can download from the Internet from manufaturers websites. :)

Yes, DVD units are backwards compatible, so they do CD's as well.

Good Luck :)
