[H]ard|OCP Poll

What's your opinion?

I have visited the site a few times. I didn't find anything to intriguing. I have not visited the [H]ard|OCP forums to see what their members are like.
Many of our members have negative opinions. It appears THG staff are neutral although I remember reading an article that indicated Kyle from [H]ard|OCP was not very trustworthy. But I usually do not judge a person on hearsay. That said I would expect our poll to be biased toward the negative. But I am also wondering if someone has something positive to say about [H]ard|OCP.
I have brought this up because one of our members was permanently banned from the [H]ard|OCP forums for posting an invitation to a LAN party that will be reported on by Tom's Hardware Guide.
I don't think it is right to ban someone because they post a link to a competing public forum just because you don't agree with the owners of the competing forum. It seems very immature.

Please vote and post your opinion or personal experiences with [H]ard|OCP and Kyle. I just want to find out if it is as bad as people make it out to be. I hope someone has something good to say.

I suppose it is good to hear someone knows someone who thinks that Kyle is not as bad as everyone thinks he is.
It would be nice if Fatburger would post a reply so we can hear his side.

I've never said we were friends, I've gotten email replies from him maybe half a dozen times.

And about www.wefryathlons.com, you were going off about how he set up that website in order to boast about frying Athlons. I merely corrected you, telling you that someone else set that up to make fun of him.

The outcome of the poll is leaning toward Kyle is not a very nice person.
I thought someone here would have something nice to say about him.
That's too bad. I wouldn't want to live life knowing that everyone who met me thought I was a jerk.

Am I the only one that thinks that Kyle has any brains?

This is a sad thing to see. He might be extremely opinonated and somewhat rude in my encounter with him, but he is not an idiot.

I wouldn't exactly call it grovelling but it was some form of pleading.

All I did was post how I didn't want the rivalry between the various members of the hardware review community fighting over stupid issues. I know that there are advertising revenues to be made but that is lame for not trying to help each other. The end user is still the most valued person. Without them the are no advertinig dollars... because who would click on the links to product?

anyway..., After I stated something about trying to unite people together at a gaming event and the detail on how to read about it.

Next day I didn't have an account.

So I talked to Kay0909 who is the moderator for the gaming section. (Nice guy BTW) He posted something on the moderators forum. He suggested I contact Kyle. I sent an email, got an negative reply. I sent a second with more of an explination and and got a second negative reply. I said in the second that if he still did not want to reinstate me that I would respect his wishes.

So I did. End of story.

So I mean it is no big deal. When we have a large event in the Northeast I will not turn him away. I could but, that would be childish.

So think what you want. Has anyone known me to use foul language, be sexually or immorally explicit, or just rub people the wrong way intentionally? or uninentionally?

I was not that way on the Hardforums nor with Kyle.
