First build, can i do better?

This is my first pc build. I will be using it for gaming mostly. I still have about 1000 left in my budget for the box, so any upgrade ideas? I think im going with a 24 in monitor running 1920x1200.

Just looking for any known compatability issue's, and if i need extra cooling. Also, some upgrade advice would be nice. Trying to build a great gaming pc without going overboard. Like i said, still have 1000 dollars left in my budget for the box.

Also, ill be running windows XP pro 32 bit, but will upgrade to vista later this year. Not too concerned with overclocking, since its my first build and all, but would like some option to do so later down the line.

Well for starters you may want some more harddrive space for those games.
I agree on HDD, use the RAID for qquick loading and access then get a big drive for data storage and backing up the Raid. You would need 300 gig at least but for a little more they have great 500 Gig models
I am thinking the monitor you are getting to be at least $500 maybe more, you could go over a grand for one. Gor your $3500 you will have a kick a** rig.
