Six drives with Intel D975XBX2?

Hi - I'm building my first system, so please forgive the naive question...

I'm trying to build a high-performance system for video editing, and I need tons of disk. I'm considering:

1 Raptor X 150GB for programs
1 Raptor X 150GB for a scratch disk
4 Samsung SpinPoint 500GB for video files (in a RAID 5 array)

Will an Intel D975XBX2 mobo handle this disk configuration OK? The following language in the Intel spec confuses me: "Four Serial ATA interfaces with RAID support (four additional interfaces available with optional discrete RAID controller)".

Any other suggestions on my configuration? Thank you.

I just built my PC with same MOBO. 2 WD 75g Raptor in a RAID 0 for OS and 4 WD 250G's on the secondary Marvell Raid controller. It only allowed me to set up as a RAID 0,1 or 10. I chose 10 which gave me just under 500G's. I prefer the RAID 5 but you will have to buy a PCI-E RAID controller card for that. If you hear otherwise I would like to know...
