I did the archive search. This apparently is new or I picked the wrong search string 
I have one of the original HP PhotoSmart Photo Printers. It produces excellent prints of my digital photos. When I upgraded to Windows XP I discovered that this printer is not, and will not, be supported by HP with an XP driver. Bummer!
Has anyone gotten this printer working on XP? To be sure we're on the same page, I'm talking about the HP C3804A printer. It's the original PhotoSmart Photo Printer.
