Can I use scanjet 3970 with windows 7

I have been trying to find a download to use my HP Scanjet 3970 with my new Compaq computer which has windows 7. Can anybody help me?

Well, No Windows 7 drivers available, but try the Vista drivers, they may work with Win 7. Entry level Canon printers are relatively cheap if the HP is not worthy. Google search. Try it when looking for an online product page in the future.

You can try the Vista drivers from HP, select 32 or 64 bit depending on which you are using. A lot of Vista stuff works in W7.

I have Windows 7 home edition and I installed IrfanView through which, the HP 3970 scanner works just fine.
Nobody should be without IrfanView anyway.

July 9, 2011 I tried IrfanView. It solved the problem for me. Once you download and install it, look under File. You will see the selections for the TWAIN scanner. Works just fine! Thanks!
