I am going to buy a new video card for my computer. As my old Forsa 6200 is becoming a drag in Oblivion. With all the thousands of streaks of colours etc. Maybe the Asus 1950pro 256mb or the geforce equivilent 7600 gt. Maybe any other sugestins? But I am kinda short on cash though. Thanks!

If you want oblivion and cant' afford the X1950 PRO, get the X1650 XT.

About the same price as the 7600 GT, but it's a much better Oblivion card.

The geforce equivalent is a 7900GS, not a 7600GT. And a X1650XT like cleeve said do come at a nicer price now:

Thanks! I guess the the 1950 pro is just slightly better. Though the Tom Hardware reviews did say the performance to dollar ratio was high for the 1950 pro. Aww well. Next month, when I get my pay check, i'll see how the video card prices stand. I bet they'll drop since all these new video cards are coming onto the market. Soon i'll be free of bad game performance! :D

Yeah, ditto that. The 7600GT is nowhere near a X1950 pro, and especially for Oblivion.

Yay! I bought the 1950 pro Card. It works awsome on my athlon 3500 CPU. Along with 1 gb of RAM. Saving money does work. :wink:
