Hi Guys,

I just build the system in my signature this week.

I haven't overclocked this machine stock standart cooling.

And the cpu running around 44.5 Degree is this normal or do I need better cooling even though I havent done any overclocking these temperatures directly from Bios...After starting X64 Xp I have run the Hmonitor and now I am getting these figures:

MB: 36 C

CPU: 42 C

Funny thing is my GPU sitting on 63 C I guess this is normal....?

If I need better heatsink and fan what would you guys receommend for me ?

I have these options:

Cooler Master RR-CCX-W9U1-GP Mars Spherical cooler w/PWM & 3 fan speed control modes for AMD AM2 & LGA775

Zalman CNPS9500AT Ultra Quiet Copper CPU Cooler for Intel LGA 775, 92mm dual ball bearing fan with Automatic Variable Fan Speed Control
**Uses 4-Pin Connector to Motherboard**

Zalman CNPS9700LED (Copper) CPU Cooler, 2-Ball bearing, Multi Socket, Ultra Quiet 110mm Fan with blue LED, 2 Modes operation:Silent and Low Noise

Thermaltake CL-P0310 Big Typhoon VX

Or something you might want to recommend...

Thanx,

Same question. Under load my E6600 is:
Mobo: 42 degrees C
CPU: 42 degrees C

More importantly, I'm looking inside my case and the cooling fan seemed to be occasionally stopping for a second then starting again... is this normal

I shouldn't worry about your GPU, 63 doesn't seem too bad, my gfx card approaches 100 degrees C under load (well it did before i realised the x1900 fan speed: temp ratios were ridiculous .... 80 degrees C and the fan on about 35%)
