I have used this myself - the "Ewe Registry Editor'. But it has more than
just editing. When there is a left over file from a deleted program that you
cannot delete because of a message like "Cannot Delete - program may be
running - stop first" and so on - with the Ewe Editor I opened the Registry
and simply clicked "delete" with the file I wanted to get rid of. That is
one great feature of this editor and the other is that it is freeware !
It has additional features such as creating registry entries and so on where
you may find the abiliity to do what you are talking about.
