Whoa!!!
I just received the a dialog box with "Connection Flash Manager: Saved data
is corrupted. System will erase all data to fix error!" (buttons marked
"Yes" or "No" ). I've used a Pocket PC since before dirt and have never seen
this message before.
Anyone else seen it? Where does it come from? What is one to do about it?
Any advice appreciated!
I have a Siemens SX66 with Windows Mobile 2003 SE, with 128 of real RAM, and
a 1 GB SanDisk SD.
Thanks in advance. Tom Gordon, Riverbend Marketing, Lansing, MI

It seems to have to do with the permanent storage feature of PIM data,
which I have turned off on my iMATE PDA2K - the same basic device as
your SX66. I rely on Sprite Backup to back my data up, not permanent
PIM.

Ed,
I've checked into the "permanent backup" application and noting is "checked"
so I'm assuming (always a poor thing to do) that that's not the problem.
I've also reviewed the forum (I had been there earlier today - thanks to
Google) but I'm not sure that I can find my answer on the six pages of that
forum, unless you can direct me to the specific posting (maybe I missed it).
I'm guessing that the most prudent thing to do is to make a full backup and
then nuke the SX66 and try to restore from a full backup - or am I just
backing up and restoring the troubled corrupted file.
Thanks for your time and advice - Tom Gordon, Riverbend Marketing

You can try the backup/restore, but chances are, you'll just put the
problem back. Won't know until you try, unfortunately. :-(
