I have a Sound Blaster Audigy 4.
About 1 week or so ago, windows started randomly dropping the mixer device. I can no longer edit the audio properties or go into the volume control. If I reboot windows, everything is fine until windows randomly drops the mixer device. I can still hear sound, play music, games, etc, I just can not edit any of the audio properties.
When the mixer device is dropped, windows still shows my card as working properly without any errors. Any thoughts as to why this happens and how to fix it?
