Is there anything better than 8800 GTX SLI?

I've just read an interesting article and I was wondering if it can possibly be true. Apparently even a machine with QX6700 and two 8800 GTX cards and a physics accelerator is not good enough to play Crysis properly

8O AMD might have to skip R600 and go straight to R800.

Quad SLI could tame Crysis, but it would also cost over $2200 for the cards alone.

R600 is supposed to be better than G80 and DX10.1 compatible...so a couple of those in an amped Barcelona-based QuadFX should eat Crysis.

Eh, i bought the nuclear reactor from an old russian sub a couple months back, figured it was a worth wild investment. Now i can power 2 xfired R600's without blacking out half my block.
