Hi group, I've been noticing on several of my folders this file called
"ignore_my_docs" on its properties it shows it as a File with O bytes,
Hidden and Archived, does anyone know about this file is it a bug/virus or
what? I tried to erase it but it keeps coming back! so I have no idea what
this is for, please advice.

Have a look at the thread "pocket PC virus" down the list I had the same
thing didnt know what it was, everytime I deleted it it would reappear with
the present date on it, created a 'my documents' folder and it disappeared

Pocket PC OS creates the ignore_my_docs when there isn't a My Documents
folder. Apps use it to know what to search. To delete the file,
you'll have to create a My Documenets folder.

There is a known issue with SD and MMC cards in the PPC.
It seems that the card can have difficulty in maintaining
pressure with the contact points that interface between
the card and the device. Recommendations have been to
place a piece of sellotape on the back of the SD card.

I have had some issues with SD cards, generaly I have had
to remove the card, soft reset the device, insert the
card and the problem seemed to be resolved.

"ignore_my_docs" is the "filename" which explain to PPC 2002 (or more) that
it could search the files elsewhere than in "My Documents", without it all
the files which aren't under "My Documents" aren't displayed in an "open
window"
