Hey guys

I have just put a new Creative X-FI Extreme audio card in my PC, which sounds awesome through the speakers.

I also have front audio connectors on the case which go to a cable on the inside. Previously (before the card), the front connectors were in my mainboard and the front ports worked fine.

When I put the cable in my new card the headphones are not picked up.

I have been looking on google and apparently it is a cable issue, what I dont get in my motherboard is AC97 and that worked and in the documentation says that my new card is AC97 compatable.

Am I being stupid and missing something out or is there something I need to do.

I didnt get a manual with my case but I am sure there is a diagram in my mainboard book. I could match this and my sound card together to find out.

The blocked hole is in the same place. If I need to swap the cables over in any way is this easy?
