Hi List,

Just come by 2 sticks of DDR2 in a job lot I bought labelled:

DDRII 64XB PC667 1G AUM 4606

Chips are also badged AUM

Fine so far but can't locate the (apparent) manufacturer...AUM.

Anyone come across AUM before? Just trying to find out if they are system specific so looking for detailed specs. Don't have a servicable board that takes DDR2 currently so not even sure if they work yet. Google and Yahoo find nothing.

After spending 30 minutes on google... I finally found that the company that makes the AUM RAM is "OM NANOTECH" (India). They look to be about a year and half old. I am picking up some PC133 off ebay. From what I can see, they deal in bulk. Also sell flash drives and stuff like that. I really googled the hell out of them and I can't find anything about them.

OM Nanotech.com. Of course this is an assumption as I found some sites of people selling 'AUM' RAM and mentioning the same blurb about OM nanotech. So I am assuming as such. I'll confirm once I get my package in the mail.

Just so there is a trace back for other posters, I bought it off ebay from smilentango

Look closely,
I almost bought 'high density' which would not work for my computer.
I ended up not buying it (low density is what I needed and has higher rate of compatibility).

I have no idea who manufactures memory labelled "AUM" but I have been using 2X2GB sticks (DDR2 PC 4200 667) for some time now. They seems to be completely reliable although ny BIOS reports speed of 266 Mhz. I don't think that is correct, because the BIOS also reports speed as 166 MHz when DDR 2 533 sticks are being used).

I am not associated in any way with the manyfacturer or distributors of these sticks and am merely an end user.

AUM memory is manufactured by Om Nanotech (P) Ltd., based at Noida Special Economic Zone, Noida, India. I am using AUM USB drives and also DDR RAMS form past sometimes and I find no issue with them. I have found their website http://www.om-nanotech.com you can check it out. But I believe they are bulk supplier.

The RAM labeled AUM is working fine and I have no problem with it. Before they use to sell in bulk but these days they have started selling in ebay look out for their listing in Ebay
