This may seem like a stupid question but here goes anyway...

I'm interested in the Sony KV30HS510 30" Hi-Scan WEGA Widescreen TV.
The specs say that it is NOT a stereo TV but it does support surround
sound. I don't have any external speakers or fancy sound system. Will
I be able to hear sound from this TV?

Thanks

Hank:

I own a Sony 34HS510 HDTV.... I believe it has two 7.5 watt
speakers...

which tend to generate very good woofer type base audio....

Sound on this set is very good in tonal quality....

I guess that the new Sony 30HS420 has lesser speakers..

and I guess too that 30HS510 has the very good 7.5 watt speakers..

However, I want Dolby Digital EX (5.1 or 6.1) surround sound...

So I picked up an Onkyo A/V SR-501 receiver at $270...

& Speakers (both 3 new NHTs & 4 used ) I have DD Pro Logic II

and DD EX 6.1 depending what the HD Digital TV audio is

outputting... You should really like the 30HS510 speaker system!!
