So right now I'm using my marvell onboard network device on my P4P800-E deluxe motherboard. I recently remembered I have an Intel PRO/100+ adapter laying around.

I'm trying to look up information to see if this network card has an onboard processor so if I put it in, it would reduce the load on my CPU when i'm transferring files/playing games online.

I looked up and found a registry key that will Enable onboard adapter processor if I actually had one that supported it.

Does anyone know what help in performance this would be, and what cards actually support it?
